
Building the Quickbuild wings on the
RV-9A
We started on the wings by
fabricating the aileron hinge brackets from parts that were partially
finiished. We then riveted these hinges onto the rear spar
at the locations pre-drilled. Next we buffed and primed the flap
gap and aileron gap seals, dimpled and riveted them in place. The
most serious process building the wings is cutting the opening for the
landing light. The process turned out to be a paper tiger, using
the dremel tool and cutoff wheel, it came out perfevt.
